Baseball Game Preview: Leopold Wildcats vs. Richland Rebels

The Leopold Wildcats will venture away from home to square off against the Richland Rebels at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Richland took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Leopold, who comes in off a win.

It was a proper cat-fight when Leopold challenged Woodland on Tuesday. The Wildcats never let the Cardinals get on the board and left with a 5-0 win. The game was the first time the Wildcats have beaten the Cardinals on their field since April 6, 2017.

Meanwhile, Richland was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 11th straight defeat dating back to last season. They came up short against Dexter, falling 19-0. Having soared to a lofty 11 runs in the game before, the Rebels' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

The victory made it two in a row for Leopold and bumps their season record up to 3-5. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 1 runs in those games. As for Richland, their loss dropped their record down to 0-4.
