 The Veterans Memorial Patriots will look to defend their home field  on Friday against the Tivy Antlers at 7:00  p.m. Both teams come into the  match bolstered by wins in their previous  matches.
 Veterans Memorial stacked  a  15th blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Tuesday. They blew past Wagner 8-2.
  Shalei Morn was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she  didn't allow a single  earned run over seven innings pitched. Morn has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't  pitched less than five  innings in three consecutive pitching appearances. Morn was also solid in the batter's box,  scoring a  run and  stealing a base while going 1-for-4.
 In other batting news, Veterans Memorial got a big performance out of  Cihara Wessling, who  scored two  runs and  stole three bases.  Cimara Wessling was another key contributor,  scoring a  run while going 2-for-2.
 Meanwhile, Tivy earned  a  7-3 win over Pieper  on Tuesday. The  victory made it back-to-back  wins for Tivy.
 Like Veterans Memorial, Tivy also got a great game from a two-way player:  Rhiley Miller. She looked comfortable on the mound,   striking out seven batters over  seven innings while giving up just one earned  (and two unearned) runs off   three  hits. Miller was also big at the plate,  going 1-for-4 with a  home run and two  RBI.
 In other batting news,  Shayla Roth was  incredible,  going 2-for-3 with a  home run and two  RBI. Another player making a difference was  Millie Howerton, who  scored two  runs and  stole two bases while going 1-for-3.
 Veterans Memorial's victory bumped their record up to 20-7. As for Tivy, their win  ended  a  three-game drought at home  and  bumped them up to 18-6.
 Friday's   game will be a test for both team's pitchers. Veterans Memorial hasn't had any issues making contact this season,  having earned a batting average of .380. However, it's not like Tivy struggles in that department as   they've  averaged .344. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
