Baseball Recap: Dryden Comes Up Short

Dryden couldn't beat All Saints Central on Monday even though they stacked four runs on them in the first inning. The Cardinals lost 23-7 to the Cougars. The Cardinals have struggled against the Cougars recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive lost matchup.

Tj Mersino led a balanced group of hitters, going 2-for-3 with three RBI and two doubles.

Dryden's loss dropped their record down to 8-4. As for All Saints Central, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 11-7.

Looking ahead, Dryden will face off against Peck at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for All Saints Central, they will venture away from home to take on Mayville at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Cougars' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Wildcats have averaged an impressive 7.6 runs per game this season.
