Softball Recap: Genoa Area Comes Up Short

Genoa Area's last matchup with Oak Harbor could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's contest on Friday. The Comets came up short against the Rockets, falling 9-2. The Comets haven't had much luck with the Rockets recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Genoa Area saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Maddie Bronowski, who went 1-for-2 with one RBI.

Genoa Area's loss dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Oak Harbor, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-2.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Genoa Area is set to challenge their familiar foe Rossford at 4:45 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Oak Harbor will take on rival Lake at 4:45 p.m. on Monday.
