Baseball Recap: Quitman Takes a Loss

After flying high against Castor last Tuesday, Quitman came back down to earth. Quitman took a 7-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Pitkin Tigers on Friday. The Wolverines were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Tigers apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in May of 2024.

Quitman saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Hudson Pullig, who went 1-for-3 with one home run.

Quitman dropped their record down to 10-11 with the loss, which was their third straight on the road. As for Pitkin, their record now sits at 7-5.

Coming up, Quitman will face off against Holden at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Pitkin, a feisty cat fight will be fought as Pitkin Tigers take on Stanley Panthers at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday.
