Softball Recap: Leon Snaps Eight-Game Streak of Losses on the Road

Leon made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Normangee, but they still couldn't quite topple them. Leon blew past Normangee 19-6 on Friday. Considering the Cougars have won four contests by more than eight runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Leon's victory ended an eight-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 5-8. As for Normangee, the loss snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 7-11 record.

Coming up, Leon will challenge Slocum at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Normangee, they will be playing at home against Grapeland at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
