Valor Christian came tearing into Wednesday's match with 16 straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 32.4 points), and they left with even more momentum. They breezed past the Bear Creek Bears to the tune of 71-29. Given the Eagles' advantage in MaxPreps' Colorado basketball rankings (they are ranked second, while the Bears are ranked 127th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Valor Christian's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Peyton Jones, who went 8-for-13 en route to 19 points and three steals. Jones is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in each of the last five games she's played. Quinn VanSickle was another key player, almost dropping a double-double with 11 points and nine assists.

Valor Christian was working as a unit and finished the game with 18 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Bear Creek only posted six assists.

Despite the loss, Bear Creek still got an impressive performance from Olivia Kan, who went 5-for-10 to rack up 10 points. Another player making a difference was Rachel Vasey, who posted four points.

Valor Christian's victory was their eighth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 21-2. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 73.3 points over those games. As for Bear Creek, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost 13 of their last 15 contests, which has put a noticeable dent in their 7-15 record this season.

Valor Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Bear Creek, they will venture away from home to challenge Lakewood at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Bear Creek is facing Lakewood at the right time seeing as Lakewood is stuck on a six-game losing streak.
