Softball Game Preview: Dexter Bearcats vs. Senath-Hornersville Lions

The Dexter Bearcats will take on the Senath-Hornersville Lions at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Dexter is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 17 runs on Saturday, they were much more limited against Bernie on Wednesday. They lost 18-2 to the Mules. The defeat continues a trend for the Bearcats in their meetings with the Mules: they've now lost four in a row.

Meanwhile, Thursday just wasn't the day for Senath-Hornersville's offense. They came up short against Twin Rivers on Thursday, falling 12-0. The Lions have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Senath-Hornersville's loss dropped their record down to 6-9. As for Dexter, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-12.

Dexter was able to grind out a solid win over Senath-Hornersville in their previous matchup back in April of 2022, winning 6-3. Will the Bearcats repeat their success, or do the Lions have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
