Softball Recap: Smoky Valley Takes a Loss

Smoky Valley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They lost 12-1 to the Pratt Greenbacks. That's two games in a row now that the Vikings have lost by exactly 11 runs.

Smoky Valley saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kate Griffin, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one RBI.

Smoky Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 1-11. As for Pratt, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 5-7.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Smoky Valley will square off against Nickerson at 3:00 p.m. on May 5. As for Pratt, they will take on Dodge City at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Greenbacks are facing the Demons at the right time seeing as the Demons are stuck on a 14-game losing streak.
