Soccer Game Preview: Cass vs. Dalton

Cass is 0-5 against Dalton since March of 2015 but things could change on Tuesday. Cass will venture away from home to face off against Dalton at 5:30 p.m. Cass has given up an average of 5 goals per game this season, but Tuesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Cass is headed into Tuesday's contest looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight game on Friday. They came up short against Allatoona, falling 10-0. While losing is never fun, Cass can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia soccer rankings (they are ranked 374th, while Allatoona are ranked 22nd).

Meanwhile, Dalton kept a clean sheet against Cedartown on Friday. They put the hurt on the Bulldogs with a sharp 7-0 win. Dalton might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five games by four goals or more this season.

Dalton is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-3 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 38 goals over those seven contests. Cass' loss dropped their record down to 1-9.

Cass might still be hurting after the 10-0 defeat they got from Dalton when the teams last played back in March of 2024. Can Cass avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
