Softball Recap: Wayne Valley Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

Wayne Valley waltzed into their contest on Monday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They walked away with a 9-4 win over the West Milford Highlanders. This was a revenge game for the Indians: when they faced off against the Highlanders two weeks ago, they had to take a 4-3 loss.

Wayne Valley pushed their record up to 6-4 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.7 runs over those games. As for West Milford, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-6.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Wayne Valley is set to take on their familiar foe Fair Lawn at 4:15 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, West Milford will face off against rival Wayne Hills at 4:15 p.m. on Wednesday.
