The Woodlands climbs into top 10 with solid win over Atascocita.

The Woodlands made the biggest move in this week's MaxPreps Texas Top 25 with a convincing 38-14 road victory over previously unbeaten Atascocita (Humble).

The Highlanders (5-1) climbed six spots to No. 9. Their only loss came at the hands of No. 2 Katy in Week 3, by a 14-7 score. That remains the only touchdown allowed by Katy this season.

Kirby Bennett rushed for 135 yards and three touchdowns as the Eagles extended their victory streak to 49 with a 52-7 win over Lewisville.

2. (2) Katy 5-0
Coming off an open date, the Tigers return to District 19-6A action against Seven Lakes (Katy) on Saturday.

3. (3) Trinity (Euless) 6-0
Without scoring in the fourth quarter, the Trojans still had enough time to amass a 68-0 victory over Haltom (Haltom City).

4. (4) Cedar Hill 5-0
Junior quarterback Avery Davis ran for three touchdowns and threw for another in a 52-13 romp over Midlothian.

5. (5) Westfield (Houston) 5-0
Tyrie Cleveland had touchdowns on a 98-yard kickoff return and a 21-yard pass reception in an altercation-shortened 36-25 victory over Spring.

6. (6) Steele (Cibolo) 6-0
Xavier Martin threw for two scores and Bryson Denley ran for two in a 31-7 triumph over Clemens (Schertz).



7. (8) Westlake (Austin) 5-0
With the Chaps leading only by a point, Sam Ehlinger threw a pair of second-half scoring passes in a 24-9 victory over previously unbeaten Bowie (Austin).

8. (9) Lake Travis (Austin) 5-0
Cade Green caught a pair of touchdown passes and Santiago Villegas ran for two in a 56-0 blanking of Lehman.

9. (15) The Woodlands 5-1
Eric Schmid threw three touchdown passes and caught one on a trick play in a 38-14 victory over previously unbeaten Atascocita (Humble).

10. (11) Marcus (Flower Mound) 5-1
CJ Respass rushed for three touchdowns and Nate Hopkins ran for 105 yards and a score in a 34-14 victory over rival Flower Mound.

11. (12) Manvel 4-1
D'Eriq King threw for three touchdowns and the Mavs had 652 yards of offense in a 75-14 thumping of South Houston.

12. (13) Klein Collins (Spring) 5-0
Justin Pratt rushed for 200 yards and two touchdowns while teammate Nate Edmonds crossed the goal line four times in a 42-14 handling of Spring Dekaney (Houston).



13. (14) Cedar Park 5-0
Coming off an open date, a Friday game against Leander is next for Cedar Park.

14. (16) Judson (Converse) 6-0
Mi'kel Jackson and Jay Miller each rushed for over 100 yards and a touchdown in a 47-27 triumph over Wagner (San Antonio).

15. (17) Pearland 6-0
Connor Blumrick rallied the Oilers with a pair of late touchdown passes in a 28-27 overtime victory over rival Dawson (Pearland).

16. (18) Carroll (Southlake) 4-1
Zach Farrar had eight catches for 222 yards and three touchdowns to help the Dragons rally from 17 down to defeat Coppell 38-37 in two overtimes.

17. (19) Dickinson 5-0
Jordan Myers rushed for 316 yards and four touchdowns in a 42-28 victory over Clear Brook (Friendswood).

18. (20) Ryan (Denton) 5-0
Tyreke Davis ran for one touchdown and returned an interception 28 yards for another in a 20-3 triumph over Nelson (Trophy Club).



19. (21) George Ranch (Richmond) 5-0
Coming off an open date, the Longhorns next face rival Foster (Richmond) on Friday.

20. (22) South Grand Prairie 5-1
Key defensive stops in the fourth quarter by Jakari McDowell and Jeffrey Okudah helped the Warriors hold off Duncanville, 28-26.

21. (23) Lake Ridge (Mansfield) 5-0
Coming off an open date, the Eagles will face Mansfield Timberview (Arlington) on Friday.

22. (24) Guyer (Denton) 4-1
Shawn Robinson threw for 276 yards and four touchdowns in a 48-3 romp over Northwest (Justin).

23. (25) Reagan (San Antonio) 6-0
Ian Leslie's 32-yard touchdown run with 3:42 remaining sealed a 35-26 victory over Johnson (San Antonio).

Russell Morrison had a pair of touchdown runs and Austin Simmons returned a fumble for a score in a 34-14 victory over Morton Ranch (Katy).



25. (NR) Cedar Ridge (Round Rock) 5-0
The Raiders have outscored opponents by 111 points so far and are coming off an open date. They travel to Pflugerville for a District 13-6A encounter on Friday.

Dropped out: No. 7 Skyline (Dallas), No. 10 Atascocita (Humble).
