Softball Recap: Somonauk Takes a Loss

Somonauk was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They came up short against the St. Francis Spartans, falling 11-1. If the Bobcats were looking for revenge after losing 13-0 to the Spartans when the teams met back in May of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Somonauk saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brooke Bahrey, who went 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

Somonauk's loss dropped their record down to 7-11. As for St. Francis, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 18-4.

Coming up, Somonauk will host Newark at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for St. Francis, they are taking a road trip to challenge Saint Viator at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
