Football Recap: Arcadia Takes a Loss

Arcadia extended their losing streak to three on Friday, dropping them down to 1-6. They took a blow against the Muir Mustangs, falling 49-14. While losing is never fun, the Apaches can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California football rankings (they are ranked 760th, while the Mustangs are ranked 119th).

Despite the loss, Arcadia still got an impressive performance from Aiden Reyes, who picked up 140 receiving yards and two scores. Reyes showed off some serious burst, cutting upfield on a catch for 60 yards.

As for Muir, the win was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record up to 8-1. Considering they have won six contests by more than 29 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Trey Gamble continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, throwing for 250 yards and three touchdowns while completing 92.9% of his passes. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in passer rating (171.1).

Arcadia didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 41-24 victory against Glendale on the 17th. As for Muir, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 63-0 win against Burroughs on the 17th.
