The Northridge Knights will venture away from home to challenge the Bountiful RedHawks at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Northridge is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.5 runs per game this season.

Northridge is headed into the matchup having just suffered their biggest defeat since March 17th on Monday. They lost 15-5 to Viewmont.

Jon Olsen was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run while going 2-for-3. Jace Whitear also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.

Meanwhile, Bountiful had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 4 runs) and they went ahead and made it four on Monday. They came out on top against the Bees by a score of 6-2.

Corey Erickson looked comfortable as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out seven over four innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two hits in three consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Cash Stump, who went 1-for-3 with one home run. Another player making a difference was Tanner Swanson, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 2-for-3.

Northridge's loss dropped their record down to 10-5. As for Bountiful, their record now sits at 7-8.

Northridge might still be hurting after the 10-4 defeat they got from Bountiful in their previous meeting back in April of 2024. Can the Knights avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
