Softball Recap: Landrum Triumphs

Landrum took a 13-run defeat the last time they faced off against Greer, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Landrum Cardinals sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 5-4 win over the Greer Yellow Jackets on Friday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Cardinals have posted since April 22, 2024.

Landrum now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Greer, their loss dropped their record down to 3-6.

Coming up, Landrum will square off against Broome at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Greer will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Pickens at 6:00 p.m. on March 25th. Pickens is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.2 runs per game this season.
