Basketball Recap: Western Hills Takes a Loss

Western Hills lost against Franklin County last Wednesday and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Western Hills Wolverines had to suffer through a 79-52 loss at the hands of the Franklin County Flyers. While losing is never fun, the Wolverines can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Kentucky basketball rankings (they are ranked 95th, while the Flyers are ranked seventh).

Western Hills has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 12-10 record this season. Those losses can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.0 points per game. As for Franklin County, the win (which was their 15th in a row) raised their record to 20-3.

Western Hills has already played their next contest (against Louisville Collegiate), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Franklin County will be playing at home against Madison Southern at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
