Softball Recap: Fayetteville Comes Up Short

Fayetteville lost against Childersburg back in February, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Wolves fell 12-8 to the Tigers. The Wolves have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Layken Jones was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring a run while going 2-for-4. Another player making a difference was Lucy Epperson, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 3-for-4.

Fayetteville's defeat dropped their record down to 6-9-1. As for Childersburg, their win ended a five-game drought at home and bumped them up to 11-13.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Fayetteville will venture away from home to challenge Thorsby at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. We've got a battle between Tigers coming up. Childersburg is facing Comer at the right time seeing as Comer is stuck on a four-game losing streak.
