The Cornerstone Christian Crusaders will challenge the Norton Science & Language Academy Rockets at 2:45 p.m. on Wednesday. Cornerstone Christian's pitching crew heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. They were the clear victors by a 16-0 margin over The Grove School. The Crusaders might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 15 games by six runs or more this season.
Alec O'Sullivan was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, keeping things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out ten over four innings pitched. Those ten strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also solid in the batter's box, earning two runs and two stolen bases.

In other batting news, Jesse Villicana was a standout: he went 2-for-3 with three stolen bases, four RBI, and two runs. Those four RBI gave him a new career-high. Lucas Gomez-Creguer was another key player, going a perfect 3-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base.
Cornerstone Christian kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in seven consecutive matches.
Meanwhile, Monday just wasn't the day for Norton Science & Language Academy's offense. They came up short against Bethel Christian on Monday, falling 11-0.
Cornerstone Christian's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 17-5. Those road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.3 runs on average over those games. As for Norton Science & Language Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-10.
Cornerstone Christian's speedy runners might be the difference in Wednesday's contest. The Crusaders have been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 5.5 stolen bases per game. It's a different story for Norton Science & Language Academy, though, as they've been averaging only 0.6 stolen bases. Will they be able to secure the bases, or will Cornerstone Christian continue to outrun the ball?
