Volleyball Recap: Webb City Beats Central for Their Fourth Straight Victory

Webb City extended their winning streak to four on Tuesday, bumping them up to 6-4. They blew past the Central Bulldogs 3-0. That's more bragging rights for the Cardinals, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Webb City found their leader in sophomore Avery Pogue, who had seven digs and two aces.

Webb City was lethal from the service line and finished the game with ten aces. They are a perfect 3-0 when they serve at least ten aces.

As for Central, their loss was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 2-5-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat they have suffered since October 22, 2024.

Despite the loss, Central saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Anges Werner-Click had five digs and two aces. Werner-Click is on a roll when it comes to aces, as she's now served two or more in each of the last four games she's played.

Webb City has already played their next matchup, a 2-1 defeat against Camdenton on the 19th. As for Central, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 3-2 loss against Republic on the 18th.
