Volleyball Game Preview: Granada Matadors vs. California Grizzlies

Granada is a perfect 4-0 against California since March of 2022 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Granada Matadors will be playing at home against the California Grizzlies at 6:00 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Last Tuesday, Granada came up short against De La Salle and fell 3-1. The Matadors have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-13, 22-25, 25-10, 25-15.

Meanwhile, California was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 13th straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 3-0 to Amador Valley.

While California was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the second set. The final score came out to 25-14, 25-23, 25-21.

Granada's loss dropped their record down to 12-5. As for California, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-5.

Granada took their win against California when the teams last played back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 3-0. Will Granada repeat their success, or does California have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
