Basketball Preview: Robinson Bulldogs vs. Lake Norman Charter Knights

After two games on the road, Robinson is heading back home. They will take on the Lake Norman Charter Knights at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Robinson knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past seven games -- so hopefully the Knights like a good challenge.

Even though Northwest Cabarrus scored an imposing 64 points on Friday, Robinson still came out on top. Robinson slipped by the Trojans 65-64.

Londen Roseman continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 25 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Brian Rowe, who scored 14 points.

Meanwhile, Lake Norman Charter's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight defeat. They fell just short of Carson by a score of 68-65. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Tuesday (59), Lake Norman Charter still had to take the loss.

Despite the loss, Lake Norman Charter got a solid performance out of Braylon Irelan, who scored 19 points along with five assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Braden Wilkie, who scored 17 points.

Robinson is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 14-5 record this season. As for Lake Norman Charter, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-12 record this season.

Robinson beat the Knights 79-66 when the teams last played back in January. Does Robinson have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Knights turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
