Recap: Southampton Academy Raiders vs. Brunswick Academy Vikings

Southampton Academy has not had much luck with Brunswick Academy recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
Brunswick Academy found their leader in underclassman Emily King, who scored 18 points along with nine rebounds and six steals. The contest was King's seventh in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Lexi Howerton, who scored three points along with five steals.
Southampton Academy's loss was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 3-4. As for Brunswick Academy, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a massive bump to their 7-4 record this season.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Southampton Academy will be staying on the road on Tuesday to face off against Tidewater Academy at 5:30 p.m. on January 9th. As for Brunswick Academy, they will take on Amelia Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Amelia Academy and Brunswick Academy are at an even 5-5 over their past ten head-to-heads.
