Baseball Game Preview: Glass Hilltoppers vs. Liberty Christian Bulldogs

Glass is 1-9 against Liberty Christian since May of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Hilltoppers will be playing at home against the Bulldogs at 7:30 p.m. Glass will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each matchup than the last.

Glass barely beat Rustburg the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Hilltoppers blew past the Red Devils 11-1 on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, Liberty Christian came tearing into Tuesday's game with five straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 8.8 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They came out on top against the Cavaliers by a score of 9-6.

The team relied heavily on Austin Rosser, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs, two RBI, and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Reid Fanney, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one run and one RBI.

Liberty Christian's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-3. As for Glass, their win bumped their record up to 13-6.
