Basketball Recap: Rivercrest Gets the Win

Rivercrest's game last Saturday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They had just enough and edged the Newport Greyhounds out 50-47. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Colts have posted since February 15th.

Rivercrest's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-2. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 55.7 points per game. As for Newport, their loss dropped their record down to 6-5.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Rivercrest will take on Manila in a holiday battle at at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Newport, they will head out on the road to challenge Bradford at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Bradford has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
