Football Game Preview: Midlothian Panthers vs. Centennial Spartans + How To Watch

The Midlothian Panthers will challenge the Centennial Spartans at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Midlothian was handed a heart-breaking two-point defeat in their last contest, but they sure didn't let that happen against Cleburne on Friday. The Panthers claimed a resounding 56-28 win over the Yellowjackets. The victory continues a trend for the Panthers in their matchups with the Yellowjackets: they've now won six in a row.

Midlothian's success was spearheaded by the efforts of Beau Wendel, who rushed for 93 yards and two scores on only nine carries, and Jonathan Azunna, who gained 137 total yards and three touchdowns. Michael Archie was another key back, rushing for 93 yards on only eight carries.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Midlothian was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 442 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 158 rushing yards in 18 consecutive matchups dating back to last season.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Centennial, who bounced back after a loss on the road back in September. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Cleburne last Friday, sneaking past 16-14.

Midlothian's win bumped their record up to 4-2. As for Centennial, their victory bumped their record up to 2-3.

Midlothian didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Centennial in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, but they still walked away with a 37-33 win.
