Volleyball Recap: Father McGivney Catholic Griffins vs. Granite City Warriors
Father McGivney Catholic was the 2-0 winner over Granite City when they last played one another back in April of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Griffins fell just short of the Warriors by a score of 2-1 on Monday. While the Griffins didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Warriors 25-16 in the first set.
Father McGivney Catholic started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last two. The match finished with set scores of 16-25, 25-20, 25-21.
Owen Kolesa paced Father McGivney Catholic's offense, picking up six kills. Kolesa got some help from Dax Lieberman and his 11 assists.
