Basketball Recap: Mt. Abraham Comes Up Short

Mt. Abraham was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They fell 36-25 to the Missisquoi Valley Thunderbirds. The Eagles were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Thunderbirds earlier this season, when they won 35-30.

Mt. Abraham's loss dropped their record down to 1-13-1. As for Missisquoi Valley, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-11.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Mt. Abraham will host Vergennes at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. The Eagles will need to watch out since the Commodores have now posted at least 55 points in their last four matchups. As for Missisquoi Valley, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Milton at 7:00 p.m.
