Volleyball Recap: Gray Collegiate Academy Falls Short Against Ranked Philip Simmons

Gray Collegiate Academy faced Philip Simmons in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. The War Eagles fell 2-0 to the Iron Horses. The War Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-11, 25-14.

Sadie Williamson paced Gray Collegiate Academy's offense, picking up six kills. Williamson got some help from Colby Branham and her seven assists. Branham was also solid from the service line: she led the team with two aces.

Gray Collegiate Academy's loss dropped their record down to 9-2. As for Philip Simmons, the win (which was their 21st in a row) raised their record to 24-1.

Gray Collegiate Academy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 2-1 defeat against St. James on the 27th.
