Basketball Recap: Ridge Spring-Monetta Trojans vs. North Eagles
After flying high against Wagener-Salley last Friday, Ridge Spring-Monetta came back down to earth. The Ridge Spring-Monetta Trojans took a hard 61-45 fall against the North Eagles on Tuesday. The defeat continues a trend for the Trojans in their matchups with the Eagles: they've now lost three in a row.
Despite the loss, Ridge Spring-Monetta saw an underclassman step up: freshman Ny'Asia Young went 7 of 10 on her way to 14 points and six boards. Another player making a difference was Kennedy Ligons, who posted 12 points.
Kailen Parks was her usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 34 points and 11 steals for North.
