Baseball Recap: Tuesday's Loss Ends Liberal's Winning Streak

After flying high against Garden City on Tuesday, Liberal came back down to earth. The Redskins took a 7-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Buffaloes on Tuesday. The match marked the Redskins' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Liberal saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Xavier Porras, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

Liberal moved to 3-3 with that defeat, which also ended their three-game winning streak. As for Garden City, their win was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 2-3.

Looking ahead, Liberal will face off against Eisenhower on Tuesday. As for Garden City, they will head out on the road to face off against Goodland at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. The Buffaloes are facing the Cowboys at the right time seeing as the Cowboys are stuck on a four-game losing streak.
