The Salem Spartans took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Christiansburg Blue Demons on Monday. The Spartans haven't had much luck with the Blue Demons recently, as the team's come up short the last eight times they've met.
Salem started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 27-29, 25-11, 25-23, 25-16.
