Baseball Recap: Four Straight Home Wins for Killingly

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Stonington, Killingly was happy to have turned things around on Saturday. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Griswold Wolverines a 4-0 shutout. While the Redmen didn't have the best season last year (they finished 9-12), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Killingly pushed their record up to 7-3 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.8 runs over those games. As for Griswold, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-6.

Looking ahead, Killingly will venture away from home to challenge New London at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Griswold, they will host Stonington at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
