Volleyball Recap: Dallyn Haupt and Chloe Clement Secure Win for Kossuth

Kossuth hadn't done well against Belmont recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Wednesday. The Aggies walked away with a 3-1 win over the Cardinals. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Aggies.

Kossuth was especially dominant in the fourth set. The match finished with set scores of 26-24, 25-18, 22-25, 25-14.

Leading Kossuth to victory were Chloe Clement and Dallyn Haupt. Clement had 13 digs and two assists, while Haupt had 21 kills, nine digs, five aces, and one block. Haupt has been hot for a while, having posted seven or more kills the last 22 times she's played.

Bella Smith and Keiley Robinson certainly did their best on Wednesday to avoid the loss. Smith had 11 digs, while Robinson had 20 kills, nine digs, five aces, and one block.

Kossuth's record now sits at 17-4-2. As for Belmont, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-11 record this season.

Kossuth will venture away from home to face off against Alcorn Central at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Belmont, they will host Red Bay at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
