Baseball Recap: St. Charles Takes a Loss

Monday just wasn't the day for St. Charles's offense. They lost 10-0 to the Grove City Greyhounds on Monday.

St. Charles' loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 13-16. As for Grove City, they have been performing well recently as they've won 16 of their last 20 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 21-9 record this season.

St. Charles and Grove City are set to take part in some playoff action in their next matches. The Cardinals will challenge New Albany at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Eagles' pitching crew has only allowed 3.3 runs per game this season, so St. Charles' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Grove City, they will venture away from home to face off against Olentangy Orange at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Greyhounds 3.8, the Pioneers 2.5) so any runs scored will be well earned.
