Trace Van Asdale made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he tossed four innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits. Van Asdale was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with two stolen bases, two RBI, and one run. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since back in March.
In other pitching news, Ethan Powers looked comfortable as he tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. What's more, he posted two strikeouts, the most he's had since back in April.
Back at the plate, Hagen Warkins was incredible, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with one home run, three runs, and two RBI. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in April. Cooper Shinkle was another key player, going 1-for-2 with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI.
Haysville Campus always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .576. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
The win made it two in a row for Haysville Campus and bumps their season record up to 16-6. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.0 runs over those games. As for South, their loss dropped their record down to 0-22.
