Basketball Recap: Park Place Christian Academy Takes a Loss

Park Place Christian Academy won a close one the last time they played, but unfortunately they suffered a serious change of fortune on Friday. 2025 welcomed they with a 55-31 loss courtesy of the Lamar Raiders. The loss continues a trend for the Crusaders in their matchups with the Raiders: they've now lost five in a row.

Lamar's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Blake Hart led the charge by going 7 for 11 on her way to 20 points and six steals. That's the most steals Hart has posted since back in December of 2023. Aryah Grace was another key player, putting up 14 points along with six rebounds and five assists.

Park Place Christian Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 7-10. As for Lamar, their record is now 12-7.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Park Place Christian Academy will welcome Leake Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Leake Academy will roll in looking for their 24th straight victory, something Park Place Christian Academy surely won't give up without a fight. As for Lamar, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Wayne Academy at 6:00 p.m.
