Volleyball Recap: Southside Comes Up Short in High-Profile Matchup with Central Catholic

Southside faced Central Catholic in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. The Sharks fell just short of the Eagles by a score of 2-1. The Sharks were not able to make up for their defeat to the Eagles from their previous meeting back in October of 2023.

Southside's loss dropped their record down to 6-4. As for Central Catholic, the victory was the ninth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 12-2.

Coming up, Southside will venture away from home to square off against Ascension Episcopal at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Central Catholic, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 4-0 win against Morgan City on the 22nd.
