Football Recap: Divine Child Picks Up Sixth Consecutive Victory

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Divine Child had no problem doing just that on Saturday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 10-7 victory over the Goodrich Martians. Ten seems to be a good number for the Falcons as the squad scooped up a win with the same number of points in their previous game.

Drew Sheridan threw for 50 yards on four of nine attempts. On the ground, Marcello Vitti rushed for 113 yards and one touchdown.

The victory (which was Divine Child's sixth in a row) raised their record to 12-1. As for Goodrich, their defeat was their first of the season and also makes their record 12-1.

Looking ahead, Divine Child will take on Unity Christian at 12:30 p.m. on Friday. The Falcons will need to watch out since the Crusaders have now posted at least 31 points in their last four contests. Goodrich does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
