Softball Recap: Miller City Takes a Loss

Miller City lost against Liberty Center on Saturday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. Miller City fell 9-4 to Liberty Center. The Wildcats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Miller City saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Morgan Verhoff, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base. Avery Ruhe also deserves some recognition as she brought in her first RBI of the season.

Miller City's loss dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Liberty Center, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 3-0.

Coming up, Miller City will welcome Patrick Henry at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Patrick Henry will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something Miller City surely won't give up without a fight. As for Liberty Center, they will head out on the road to take on North Central at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
