Dayton took care of business in their home opener on Tuesday. They came out on top against the Summit Hilltoppers by a score of 10-7. This was payback for the Bulldogs, who suffered a 6-4 loss the last time these two teams met.
Michael Ramirez made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowed only two hits over four innings pitched. Ramirez was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.
In other batting news, Jackson Babiarz was incredible, scoring four runs and stealing three bases while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances.
