Volleyball Recap: East Takes a Loss

East lost against Circle back in September of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Aces fell just short of the Thunderbirds by a score of 2-1. The Aces have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

In a back-and-forth that saw neither team win consecutive sets, East sadly dropped the once that decided the match. The final score came out to 25-15, 16-25, 25-12.

Claire Buss paced East's offense, picking up eight kills. Buss got some help from Birdie Buell and her 17 assists. Buss was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

East's defeat dropped their record down to 6-9. As for Circle, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-5.

East wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 2-1 loss against Ellsworth on the 20th. As for Circle, they have also already played their next contest, a 2-0 defeat against Trinity Academy on the 20th.
