Softball Recap: Blair Bears vs. Fremont Tigers        
        
		
             Blair waltzed into their matchup  on Saturday with three straight wins... but they left with four. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Fremont Tigers  an   8-0 shutout. The result was nothing new for the Bears, who have now won four contests by eight  runs or more  so far this season.
  Brooke Janning was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound,   keeping things locked down with   no  earned runs or hits while striking out nine over four innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't  tossed less than five  strikeouts in seven consecutive pitching appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box,  scoring a  run while going 2-for-2.
 In other batting news,  Regan Blattert was  incredible,  going 3-for-3 with five  RBI, two  doubles, and a  run. Another player making a difference was  Jacy Schueth, who  went 1-for-3 with a  home run and two  RBI.
 Blair  hit smart and  finished the game with only two  strikeouts. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now  struck out at most five  strikeouts in five consecutive  games.
 Blair's win was  their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which  pushed their record up to 7-2. As for Fremont, their loss dropped their record down to 4-4.
 Both  squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Blair will venture away from home to  take on Norris  on Tuesday. Blair is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.7  runs per game  this season. As for Fremont, they will face off against Bellevue East at 6:30  p.m.  on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few  runs on average, (Fremont: 3.2, Bellevue East: 2) so any  runs scored will be well earned.
