Baseball Recap: Lecanto Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

Lecanto came out on top against Pasco on Tuesday thanks in part to the team's impressive five-run third inning. The Panthers walked away with a 10-7 victory over the Pirates. The win was familiar territory for the Panthers, who have now won three contests in a row.

Lecanto let David Logue and Garrett Pitzer run wild. Logue went a perfect 3-for-3 with two stolen bases and three runs, while Pitzer went 2-for-4 with three stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. Those three runs gave Logue a new career-high. Lucas Leclair also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.

Lecanto kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. They are a perfect 3-0 when they post 11 or more hits.

Lecanto's victory bumped their record up to 4-2. As for Pasco, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-4.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lecanto will host Hernando at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Panthers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Leopards have averaged an impressive 10.8 runs per game this season. As for Pasco, they will challenge Nature Coast Tech at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Sharks' pitching crew has only allowed 2.3 runs per game this season, so the Pirates' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
