Volleyball Game Preview: West Vikings vs. North Stars

The West Vikings will face off against the North Stars at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

West took a loss when they played away from home on Wednesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Monday. They came out on top against East Bakersfield by a score of 3-1. The win continues a trend for the Vikings in their matchups with the Blades: they've now won four in a row.

West walked away with the victory (and looked especially good in the third set). The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 24-26, 25-11, 25-16.

Meanwhile, it was a classic North v. South duel when North duked it out with South on Monday. The Stars blew past the Spartans 3-0.

North never let South on the board, but things got pretty close in the third set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-21, 25-19, 26-24.

North had a senior duo take command as London Kleeman had 11 kills, five digs, four aces, and two blocks and Presleigh Buntin had 26 assists and six kills. Kleeman has been hot for a while, having posted five or more kills the last nine times she's played. Remi Ford was another key player, getting 12 kills.

North's win bumped their record up to 11-13-1. As for West, their victory bumped their record up to 17-10-1.
