Basketball Recap: D.H. Conley Comes Up Short

D.H. Conley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were dealt a 77-44 loss at the hands of the South Central Falcons. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Vikings of the 85-55 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in February of 2024.

D.H. Conley's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Samari Cabell, who posted eight points and eight boards. Cabell is also on a roll when it comes to field goal percentage, as he's posted one of at least 57% in the last five games he's played. Khaliq Boston was another key player, putting up ten points.

Da'Viaus Johnson was the offensive standout of the contest as he made all 5 shots he took to post 10 points. Another player making a difference was Myles Tufts, who had seven points.

D.H. Conley's defeat dropped their record down to 5-14. As for South Central, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 12-8 record this season.

D.H. Conley has already played their next game, a 70-61 loss against Jacksonville on the 7th. As for South Central, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 66-51 victory against Havelock on the 6th.
