Romeoville and Homewood-Flossmoor squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Romeoville had to settle for second. They had to suffer through a 76-46 loss at the hands of the Homewood-Flossmoor Vikings. The Spartans' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Homewood-Flossmoor to victory, but perhaps none more so than Darrius Hawkins Jr, who went 5-for-10 en route to 14 points along with seven rebounds and six assists. The dominant performance gave Hawkins Jr a new career-high in boards. Another player making a difference was Jayden Tyler, who shot 56% from the field to rack up 20 points in addition to six assists and five rebounds.

Romeoville's defeat dropped their record down to 15-17. As for Homewood-Flossmoor, their win was their tenth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 29-3.
