Union hadn't done well against Neuse Charter recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. The Union Spartans came out on top against the Neuse Charter Cougars by a score of 49-42. This was a revenge game for the Spartans: when they faced off against the Cougars back in January, they had to take a 69-40 defeat.

Despite the loss, Neuse Charter still got an impressive performance from Klayton Tew, who posted 11 points in addition to five rebounds and four steals. Another player making a difference was Demonte Jackson, who earned 14 points.

Union's win was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-9 and their overall record up to 4-17. As for Neuse Charter, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost five of their last six contests, which has put a noticeable dent in their 11-13 record this season.

Union does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Neuse Charter, they will take on Rosewood at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Neuse Charter is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 51.2 points per game this season.
