After a string of three wins, Thunderbird's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bradshaw Mountain Bears.

Sophia Frandsen paced Thunderbird's offense, picking up nine kills. Frandsen got some help from Cecelia Bouchard and her 16 assists. Lena Mearig controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Thunderbird's defeat dropped their record down to 7-10. As for Bradshaw Mountain, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 6-6.

Thunderbird didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-0 win against Maricopa on the 20th. As for Bradshaw Mountain, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 2-0 loss against Boulder Creek on the 20th.
