Recap: Fossil Ridge Panthers vs. Keller Indians
The Fossil Ridge Panthers lost against the Keller Indians back in October of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Fossil Ridge was beaten by Keller 53-13. Fossil Ridge was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 32-7.
Leading Keller to victory were Cameron Rayford and Beckham Robinson. Rayford rushed for 101 yards and a touchdown on only nine carries, while Robinson threw for 138 yards and four touchdowns while completing 84.6% of his passes. Gabriel Ogura did his part by putting the 'special' in special teams, booting in three field goals and six extra points.
Fossil Ridge has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-6 record this season. As for Keller, their victory bumped their record up to 6-2.
Fossil Ridge will be playing in front of their home fans against Keller Central at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Keller Central will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings (they are ranked 668th, while Fossil Ridge is ranked 332nd). As for Keller, they will head out on the road to face off against Timber Creek at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Timber Creek is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last three games.
